We are seeking Indigenous artists and their creations to be part of our Anishinaabe Art Festival.

We will showcase Woodland creations & other Indigenous creations in the visual, literary, performing, and culinary art.

We are seeking Indigenous artists who:

  1. Want to sell their creations at our art festival;

  2. Would like to do an art demonstration at our art festival;

  3. Are looking to be part of the Entertainment on Stage at our art festival; or

  4. As a new artist, would like us to assist you in preparing for our art festival.

We are a grassroots group of organizations, individuals, and artists putting together this spectacular festival that will be marketed nationwide. The core partners include the Leech Lake, Red Lake, and White Earth Nations, along with the City of Bemidji. We will be showcasing such art as birchbark work, bead and quill work, painting, quilting, dancing, singing, artist fashion designs, and Indigenous authors and chefs. Don’t miss out on being part of the action! Give us a call for more information and to register your space at this highly marketed event.

Vendor Booths for artists:  Booth cost: $50. All booths are 8' x 8' in size and each will have pipe and drape, a 6 or 8 foot table skirted, and 2 chairs provided.

Art Demonstrations:  We are looking to pay a few artists to do art demonstrations during the festival.

Give us a call with your demonstration ideas.

Entertainment:  We are looking for Indigenous entertainment for Friday evening and also on Saturday to perform on stage during the luncheon. This entertainment will include an MC, traditional dancing and singing, and possibly comedians, contemporary singers, literary reading, or a performance by our youth. Give us a call to discuss your Indigenous entertainment skills and/or ideas.

New Artists:  We have training sessions and financing to assist new artists who wish to reach more customers. Give us a call early so you have enough time to prepare before the festival arrives.
